July: Sweet Chili Ice Cream

Chili-licious Scoops: Spice Up Your Dessert Game
Creamy and indulgent, with a delightful balance of sweetness and heat. The sweet chili sauce provides a unique twist, infusing the ice cream with a gentle spiciness. The base includes sweet chili sauce, vanilla extract, condensed milk, whole milk, and heavy cream. The vanilla adds warmth, while the chili sauce brings a subtle kick. Smooth, velvety, and slightly chunky due to the chili bits. Enjoy it as a refreshing dessert on a warm day or as a surprising finish to a spicy meal.

Don’t have an ice cream machine? No problem, check out the steps below!
- Chill the Mixture: After combining the ingredients (sweet chili sauce, vanilla extract, condensed milk, whole milk, and heavy cream), chill the mixture in the refrigerator until it’s cold.
- Whisk and Freeze: Pour the chilled mixture into a shallow container. Whisk it thoroughly to incorporate air. Cover the container and place it in the freezer.
- Stir and Repeat: Every 30 minutes, take the container out and stir the mixture vigorously to break up any ice crystals. Repeat this process 3-4 times until the ice cream reaches the desired consistency.
- Serve: Once it’s firm enough, scoop and serve your homemade sweet chili ice cream!
