Cold Smoked Salmon Pinwheels

These bite-sized pinwheels offer a clean presentation and familiar bagel-and-lox flavors in an easy-to-serve appetizer, catering item, or grab-and-go offering. Simple ingredients work together to create a fresh, flavorful addition to any menu.

Ingredients:
- Cold-smoked salmon, sliced
- Whipped cream cheese
- Green onions or chives, finely sliced
- Lemon zest
- European cucumber, cut into thin matchsticks
- Avocado, sliced into thin strips
- Everything bagel seasoning
Instructions:
- In a mixing bowl, combine whipped cream cheese, green onions (or chives), and lemon zest until smooth and evenly blended.
- Lay a sheet of plastic wrap on the work surface.
- Arrange overlapping slices of smoked salmon to form a rectangle.
- Spread a thin, even layer of the cream cheese mixture over the salmon.
- Arrange cucumber and avocado strips along one long edge of the salmon rectangle.
- Using the plastic wrap as a guide, roll the salmon tightly into a log.
- Wrap and refrigerate until firm, or chill briefly in the freezer to make slicing easier.
- Slice into pinwheels and arrange on serving trays.
- Garnish with additional chives, lemon zest, and everything bagel seasoning.
Yield:
Approximately 12–18 pinwheels per pound of smoked salmon, depending on roll diameter and slice thickness.
