Shishito Peppers Appetizer Idea
Holy Shi…shito that’s good!
Shishito peppers are a small Japanese (Eastern Asia) heirloom variety of pepper that are becoming more of a mainstream offering for both pub fare and fine dining platforms. Finger-like in size, mildly spicy with bitter after tones, they are cost effective and offer a quick cook; characteristics that add to their allure. They are suitable for many of the same cooking applications as Brussels sprouts which is why I refer to Shishitos as “the new Brussels sprout.”
Try for yourself, and you too will be saying “Holy Shi…shito that’s good!”
