Hot Honey Chicken and Waffles

Crispy Hot Honey Chicken on Sweet, Fluffy Bubble Waffles with Berry Compote

Ingredients:

Waffle, Bubble (Sub Recipe) 1 EACH
Tyson Honey Stung Fully Cooked Lightly Breaded Hot Honey Chicken Tenderloins 2 EACH
Honey, Hot 2 OZ
Sugar, Powdered 2 TSP
Compote, Wild Berry 3 OZ
Berries, Fresh, Mixed 2 OZ

Sub Recipe:

All Purpose Flour 1  1/2 CUP
Granulated Sugar 3/4 CUP
Cornstarch 2TSP
Baking Powder 2 TSP
Kosher Salt 1/2 TSP
Eggs 2 EACH
Whole Milk 1/2 CUP
Water 1/2 CUP
Oil 3 TBSP
Vanilla Extract 1 TSP
Pan Spray AS NEEDED

Directions:

      1. Pre-heat Deep-fryer at 350°F.
      2. Cook product from frozen
      3. Place chicken in fryer basket and lower into deep fryer.
      4. Allow to fry for approimately 5-7 minutes and internal temperature reaches 140°F.
      5. Remove from fryer and hold.
      6. Reserve

To Assemble:

      1. Place prepared bubble waffle onto serving plate.
      2. Place Tyson Honey Stung Hot Honey Chicken Tenderloins on top of bubble waffle.
      3. Drizzle entire dish with hot honey.
      4. Dust entire dish with powdered sugar.
      5. Serve as needed with wild berry compote and some fresh berries.

Sub Recipe Directions: Bubble Waffle

      1. Place all purpose flour, sugar, corn starch, baking powder, and kosher salt in a large bowl and whisk to combine.
      2. Lightly beat eggs in medium bowl. Add milk, water, oil, and vanilla extract. Whisk to combine.
      3. Pour into the flour mixture and whisk until smooth and no streaks of flour remain.
      4. Heat bubble waffle maker.
      5. Spray both sides of the waffle make with cooking spray.
      6. Pour batter into waffle maker, filling each well completely.
      7. Cook according to instructions, approximately 2 minutes. Flip waffle maker over and cook until golden-brown all over.
      8. Transfer cooked waffles to a baking sheet and keep warm in oven.
      9. Serve as needed
